Job Description


Regional Business Development Manager will setup, coordinate and be responsible for all regional processes and In order to accelerate growth of the RFID Product Portfolio. The Regional Business Development Manager will focus on developing and managing relationships with customers and the broader RFID ecosystem beyond the Apparel segment across SAPSSA plus active opportunity pipeline management through to commercialization. These include market assessment and segmentation, sales and business development pipeline generation and conversion, as well as internal process and supply change management. Business Development Manager will interact (will support and be supported) with other Regional Initiative cross functional teams as well as with RFID BU channel and marketing teams.

Additionally, The Regional Business Development Manager will engage in market development pilots in selected segments supporting longer term strategic development initiatives.



- VOC, customer segmentation;

- Competitive bench-marking including price, performance, service dimensions;

- Share gain pilots at RFID-capable converters;

- Portfolio gap analysis;

- Refined value proposition;

- Go-to-market strategy and sales strategy;

- Marketing communication, internal and external promotion;

- Means of pipeline monitoring and pipeline management

Sales management

- Revenue generation along with sales team

- Sales retention and growth with identified key converters

- Collaborating with sales team for identification and development of converters capability in line with current and future project pipeline

Process and supply chain

- Internal process proposal educated with process gap analysis from pilots and other regions;

- Coordination of internal training processes across multiple functions with focus on building awareness in the front line;

- Coordination of external training and communication in the liaison with Marcom;

- Multi-functional process setup for RFID trade products in the region. Includes supply chain, product management, finance and accounting, CRI etc

Cross-functional and cross-divisional teams

- Coordination of MG's regional cross-functional activities to support the above;

- Work as part of a global project team in collaboration with other regional teams;

- Establishing and maintaining cross BU dialogues and collaboration


· Experience 8 years + with proven BD track record or related experience.

· Bachelor’s degree required & Master’s preferred

· Candidate needs strong RFID industry experience currently working within this ecosystem to ensure we can accelerate opps across the region. (ie. RFID Manufacturer / Supplier / System Integrator/ Integrators / OEM's / Retailers / Gov't Orgs etc)

· Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.

· Communicates in a clear, objective, and succinct manner providing research analysis, insights and recommendations. And scalability to move to next level in coming years.

  • Looking at technical nature of this product, need experience that enables this.
  • RFID industry experience preferred, but strong business development experience must
  • Cross cultural/ diverse geography exposure preferred as this position will be regional resource

· Teamwork, leadership, and facilitation skills required to enable cross-functional effectiveness.
